Earth Day events at Dillard University proved to be ideal opportunities for Entergy employees to promote Entergy programs while improving their community and the environment.

On Monday, April 22, Entergy volunteers staffed a booth at Dillard's Earth Day expo, where they distributed information about Entergy’s advanced meter infrastructure and environmental programs, along with promotional giveaways.

The following Saturday, a dozen employees volunteered for Spring Sweep at Dillard University. From 8 a.m. until 1 p.m., they worked alongside faculty and students to trim trees and shrubbery, pick up leaves and litter and help beautify the campus.

"We were grateful that Dillard University invited Entergy to participate in their Earth Day activities," said Entergy New Orleans' Pamela Ferbos. "These events helped strengthen our partnership with Dillard and gave employees a chance to do something positive for our community."

Giving back to the community is an integral part of Entergy's mission to create sustainable value for community stakeholders through philanthropic support and volunteerism.

Many thanks to volunteers who made Earth Day a success at Dillard University!
