Entergy Scores 'Best Place to Work' Honor on DEI®

09/13/2017

Entergy’s 2017 Disability Equality Index® score of 90 has classified the company as one of the best places to work for people with disabilities.

The DEI®, a joint initiative of the American Association of People with Disabilities and the U.S. Business Leadership Network®, is an annual benchmarking tool that scores businesses on a scale of zero to 100 on their disability inclusion policies and practices. Participating companies are scored in four categories: culture and leadership, enterprise access, employment practices, and community engagement and support services.

Entergy received the maximum points allowed on three of the four categories – culture and leadership, employment practices and enterprise access, bringing the company's overall score to 90. Companies scoring 80 and above are classified by the index as best places to work for people with disabilities.

Top scoring companies on the 2017 DEI® were recognized at U.S. Business Leadership Network’s 20th annual conference Aug. 23 in Florida.

Entergy continues to improve its disability inclusion practices and policies. A cornerstone of our culture is respect, respect for every individual regardless of race, color, sex, religion, pregnancy condition, nationality, age, sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression, veteran’s or marital status, disability or any other cultural factor. We believe our company is stronger through an inclusive culture.
