Johnny Brown is a line supervisor—Searcy network for Entergy Arkansas and has been with the Entergy family for 28 years. Johnny and his wife, Kelli, have a son, Cody and daughter, Kalie.

What is your power principle?

My power principle is to give my all to whatever task I am assigned and always make it a priority to safely take care of our customers; this, in turn, takes care of employees who are taking care of our customers. Together, my management, my team and I are making this a great place to work.

What is the best work-related advice you have ever been given?

It’s pretty simple. Do your job the best that you can, and do it safely. Watch out for your co-workers. Work hard, and have a little fun along the way.

What’s a typical workday like for you?

I meet with the crews every morning to stretch, give them assignments, discuss job details or problems and talk about safety. I also scout jobs and handle any problems that might come up.

What has been your favorite challenge?

My favorite challenge is evaluating the reasons for multiple outages on different devices, then resolving the issue. Our customers appreciate prompt attention to their outage, and we’re improving the long-term reliability of the network by taking the time to fix it all and fix it right when we’re working an outage call.
