Entergy New Orleans and Entergy Louisiana storm restoration update – 12/14/22, 5:30 p.m.

12/14/2022

Entergy New Orleans and Entergy Louisiana crews are assessing damage from severe weather that swept across the state and have begun the process of restoring power where it is safe to do so.

At 5:30 p.m., approximately 38,500 customers were without power, with Orleans and Jefferson parishes being particularly hard-hit.

Outages may fluctuate as crews work through the evening to restore power. As assessments continue and information is collected on what resources and equipment are needed in the field, crews will be restoring power. We will continue to provide updates throughout the restoration process. For the most current information, view our Outage Map, download the Entergy app, and sign up for texts alerts by texting REG to 36778.

Remember to stay away from downed power lines and that the most dangerous part of a storm can be immediately after it passes. There is no way to know if a downed power line is energized, so if you see one, please keep your distance and report it to us at 1-800-ENTERGY. For customers with gas service, if you smell gas at your home or in any other building, you should leave the area immediately. Go to a safe area and call us at 1-800-ENTERGY (1-800-368-3749) to report the suspected leak.
