Several of the crews originally assigned to restore Greater Baton Rouge and Greater New Orleans have joined crews in the hardest-hit areas and are laser-focused on restoring power as quickly and safely as possible. Overnight, we restored another 53,000 customers. Currently, 735,000 of the 902,000 customers who lost power due to Hurricane Ida are back on. As we move into heavier-damaged areas, our efforts will produce fewer restored customers. That is due to the severity of the damage and lower customer density, but we will be here until every last light is back on.
