Tammy Matherne is an executive assistant in customer operations support and has been part of the Entergy family for 37 years.

What's your power principle at work? Always be willing to help others. I would not be where I am today had it not been for co-workers offering a helping hand along the way. I make it a practice to help others learn their job with any knowledge I've gained throughout the years, because I'm a true believer in paying it forward.

What motivates you to live and work safely? My family motivates me to live and work safely every day. We enjoy going on vacations together, so I want to make sure we are all around to make many more memories and special moments - not only on those vacations, but every day of the year.

What's some of the best work-related advice you've ever been given? Be your best, and do your best at everything you do. Also, always treat everyone with respect and kindness. A kind word or a smile can go a long way in the workplace and in everyday life.

What do you want others to know about Entergy? Entergy truly cares about its employees and the communities we serve. I'm truly blessed and honored to have worked here for 37 years and counting!
