Entergy’s electric grid sustained its highest ever winter peak load during recent winter storms, meaning customers used more electricity at a given point in time than ever before during cold-weather months.

Entergy Texas customers saw record cold temperatures, heavy winds and winter precipitation. What Entergy Texas customers didn’t see was the need for temporary, rolling outages or the ask for customers to conserve energy.
Entergy Arkansas crews began preparing for the arrival of winter weather well before Christmas, and its efforts this week have paid off. While the storms did cause some outages to customers, employees were able to quickly respond and minimize their duration, despite the treacherous road conditions.
We continue to monitor the forecast and are prepared to respond when outages occur.
Following the four-day winter weather event impacting our service area, the majority of our customers have been restored.
Entergy Arkansas continues to work safely to keep the lights on and to keep you warm.
Entergy Arkansas has safely restored approximately 10,000 customer interruptions since Sunday.
