On May 7, 2025, Entergy New Orleans team members participated in an 8th Grade Career Day at Fannie C. Williams Charter School. This meaningful event provided students with a firsthand look into the utility sector and the diverse professional opportunities that it offers.
For some people, giving back is built into their DNA. Jonathan Simmons, operations technician at Entergy’s Independence Plant in Arkansas, has already logged more than 145 volunteer hours this year.
In early March 2025, Entergy sponsored the 8th Annual Career Expo presented by YouthForce NOLA and Junior Achievement of Greater New Orleans. The event welcomed more than 2,100 high school students from over 20 schools across the Greater New Orleans region.

In observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Entergy Louisiana employee volunteers gathered at sites across the state to pack meals for local food banks. Despite freezing temperatures and snow days that led to food packing site reschedules, Entergy volunteers showed up geared and ready.
