Entergy Texas continues to monitor the disturbance in the Gulf that has the potential to impact the upper Texas coast. While there is still some uncertainty on the storm’s exact path and strength when making landfall, this weather system could bring heavy rains, severe thunderstorms and high winds to the state this weekend.
Entergy Louisiana continues to monitor the disturbance located off the coast of Florida as it moves toward the central Gulf of Mexico. Though the storm is currently poorly organized, Entergy Louisiana is prepared for the possibility that this weather system could bring severe thunderstorms, strong winds, heavy rains, higher tides and coastal flooding to the state.

Turn around, don’t drown. It’s a mantra we’ve all been advised to follow when confronted by water covering the road in a flash flood. But what if you turn around, then the road you just came in on is suddenly covered with water, too?
Hurricane season starts June 1, and although slightly below-normal activity is predicted this year, we know that it only takes one storm to affect our customers. Entergy is ready to safely and quickly restore power should a tropical system head our way.
Since the severe weather that blew through Entergy Texas service territory on May 10th, Entergy has restored more than 104,596 outages.
As of 5 p.m. Monday, May 13, Entergy Louisiana restoration crews have restored power to all customers who can accept it. Entergy crews remain in the area to assist with completing local service-related work, such as new installations, temporary disconnects and reconnects from storm damage and debris clean up.
Entergy Louisiana restoration crews expect to restore power to all customers who can accept it by 10 p.m. Monday, May 13. Additional crews have been brought in to assist with restoration work in all areas.
