As of Friday morning, a team of 3,308 Entergy Arkansas employees, contractors and workers from other utility companies has restored power to 103,000 of the 128,000 who lost electrical service when violent storms ripped through the state Easter Sunday.
More than 3,300 Entergy employees, contractors and linemen borrowed from other utility companies are working to rebuild the electrical system, which includes replacing 1,375 broken poles, more than 2,000 spans of wire and all the related electrical components.
Entergy Arkansas has restored power to more than half of its customers who had outages from the storms late Easter Sunday and early Monday morning. About 57,000 outages remain, down from a peak of 128,000 during the severe thunderstorms.
