After experiencing record breaking heat indexes in 2023, Entergy Mississippi is providing tips on how to prepare your home for the high-heat and manage your bill this summer with our newly launched Bill Toolkit site.
For our customers in the Cleveland and Greenville, Mississippi areas, we are hosting an in-person event on July 2, in partnership with local community advocate organization Boss Lady Economic Development. The event will be 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Bolivar County Expo Center located at 601 First Street, Cleveland, Mississippi.

Freezing temperatures are expected to impact Mississippi next week, kicking heaters and energy consumption into high gear. Fortunately, Entergy Mississippi customers can stay warm while managing energy usage and costs by making their homes more energy efficient.
This summer, Entergy Mississippi launched a series of measures through its “Beat the Heat” program focused on helping low-income customers and communities stay cool and pay their bills.
During the warmer months, cooling costs make up more than 55% of an average customer’s electric bill. This means that taking steps to save energy can help lower your electric bills when temperatures are hot.
Funded by Entergy shareholders, the commitment includes $1 million in free energy efficiency kits; more than $520,000 in emergency bill assistance; and 100 community events in honor of the company’s centennial anniversary.
