Entergy Arkansas customers who became part of the Solar Energy Purchase Option - Option B in the fall of 2020 have already begun to reap savings from the clean, renewable energy generated at the Stuttgart Solar Energy Center.
Entergy Louisiana customers are now receiving power from the largest solar facility in the state.
The Chicot Solar Energy Center began operation Sept. 30. The facility has a peak capacity of 100 megawatts of energy powered by the sun, enough to power 18,000 Entergy Arkansas customers’ homes.
Entergy Arkansas estimates the 61 customers across the state subscribed to the company’s Solar Energy Purchase Option - Option B will save $60 million over the next 18.5 years by purchasing power generated at the Stuttgart Solar Energy Center.
The 2.4 MW solar project is located on TCI’s warehouses near the Inner Harbor Navigation Canal in New Orleans.
