Southeast Texas’ growing economy requires a skilled workforce to continue powering that growth. Today, Entergy Texas announced a major step to build that talent pipeline with a $500,000 commitment to support local workforce development training programs. Entergy Texas’ contribution is the first step in a five-year commitment to supporting workforce development efforts across Southeast Texas.
Super Tax Day will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, February 4 in Willis at the Parent Support Center, located at 606 N. Campbell Street. In addition to tax preparation assistance, Entergy’s local community partners are also offering a number of programs designed to help families use tax refunds to increase savings and financial well-being. Programs such as financial coaching, budget workshops, healthy food and lifestyle choices are some of the many services offered at Super Tax Day.
Super Tax Day will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, February 4 in Beaumont at the Gloria Ramirez Neighborhood Resource Center, located at 2850 Gulf Parkway.
In February, Entergy Texas will be upgrading its customer care system to better serve its customers. This upgrade will provide customers new tools to better understand and manage energy usage. Due to this upgrade, all Entergy Texas customers will receive new account numbers starting on the February bill. Customers must use this new number with their payment.
Entergy Texas announced a $75,000 donation to the City of Beaumont to help fund the installation of new Light Emitting Diode (LED) streetlights at today’s City Council meeting.
Power lines serving much of Robertson County are about to get a service reliability makeover. Contract crews are set to begin work on removing vegetation and trimming trees near the line to help keep the lights on for the 1,576 customers it serves across Robertson County.
